The evolution of Can-Aqua

1971

Can-Aqua International was founded by Jean-Guy Beaudoin, who runs his business from his home in Laval.

1989

Jean Beaudoin takes over the reins of the company and wins the Zurn representation contract. Company stalwart Denis Myette is already working for us, and will continue to do so until his retirement in 2022.

1996

From 1996 to 2001, key members such as Marc-André Baril, Claire Roberts, Claude Malette and Kathy Poirier joined the team, reinforcing our expertise and our ability to serve our customers in an exceptional way

2003

We’re growing too fast and it’s already too cramped: Our company is moving to new offices.

2009

Two years after our Quebec office opening, Zurn entrusts us with its pottery division offering sinks, toilets and other porcelain products. Needing more space, we move to our current facilities!

2012

Can-Aqua opens an Ottawa office to cover Eastern Ontario.

2018

We continue to expand, opening offices in Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

2020

To better serve our customers in the Midwest, we are opening a warehouse in Winnipeg.

2022

Jean Beaudoin’s sons, Philippe and Jean-Nicholas, take over the family business and are appointed co-presidents.

2024

We acquire a new office in Ottawa and open our first warehouse in the region.

2025

Our new Laval head office is now fully operational! This significant increase in space supports our commitment to providing our team with larger, more comfortable offices, while also doubling our warehouse area to help expand our local inventory. We are proud to have officially moved into this modern space, better suited to our continued growth.
